1.     Short-form video will be a priority.
Short form video really took off in the early stages of 2020, when TikTok was by far the number one place to go to for short-form content, and videos only a few seconds long captivated their audiences. Short form video is great news for businesses, as it holds a very high ROI due to the videos literally taking seconds to make. (Some of the best are made on handheld devices, even further lowering cost.)
Marketers should invest in Short-form video in 2022 (if they haven’t already) – it is the perfect platform to increase brand awareness, advertise products, and in turn increase revenue. Social media can help you achieve two of these, and Short-form video is the modern way of achieving this.

In 2022, this is one of the trends that many businesses are planning to prioritize, behind short-form video content and inbound marketing.
This is because in 2021 the use of influencers skyrocketed; they have a very high ROI when used alongside short-form videos and permanent quality content. The things that will inevitably change over the coming years are the types of influencer that brands focus on – most choose to sign deals with the biggest and most popular influencers but, in reality, it may be more effective to use micro-influencers with under 100k followers as they could be more effective.
3. Audio content will take a front seat.
Video is the leader when it comes to content marketing. However, audio is slowly creeping up into the mix. Of those who do use it, most find it to be one of their most effective trends today. It is recommended to increase your investment in ‘podcast’ type material into 2022 to take advantage of its sudden rise in popularity.
4. Social responsibility will be more important.
Most customers will see their trust in you as a key driver in their purchasing decisions. In the modern age, consumers want and expect brands to be more transparent and take a stand on social media. Covid-19 seemed to ignite everyone’s attention to the social responsibility of the businesses they purchase goods and services from – they wanted to see that their favourite organizations were following guidelines and doing their utmost to follow regulations in this regard.
5. Brands will continue to apply inbound marketing strategies.
